Wayne Sussman, eNCA elections analyst, on the municipal elections
The Local Government elections on 4 November are an anticipated reset of political power across South Africa, not only in the municipalities and metros where the elections are taking place, but also in the bigger-picture power dynamics defined by the Government of National Unity.
Political election analyst Wayne Sussman will help us understand the results, which will give insights into which political parties are on the rise, where coalitions will be necessary, and the dynamics driving the political horse-trading behind the big metros, of which Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni will be key.
Wayne Sussman has weathered many South African elections, appearing on local broadcasters and in print to dissect the results for the public and to explain the impacts of electoral losses and gains.
A week after the elections, on the 12th November, he will address the Press Club on what went down on the 4th, when South Africans once again cast their vote for change in their towns, villages and cities across the country.
He will take questions.
