
DG DIRCO, Zane Dangor on “how South Africa can negotiate turbulence in the global environment”
Zane Dangor is the Director-General (DG) at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO). He was appointed to this role in April 2022, after serving as a special adviser to two former ministers of international relations.
Mr Dangor previously worked at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) as interim representative to the African Union and the Economic Commission for Africa. Before joining the UNFPA, he served as DG of the Department of Social Development and before that as Deputy DG and as special adviser to two of its ministers.
He holds a Master’s degree in Law (International Law) and a Master’s in Public and Development Management, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. Mr Dangor will address the Cape Town Press Club on how South Africa can negotiate current and future turbulence in the global environment and will take questions from attendees.
