Daniel Silke and Anthony Butler – South Africa at a Crossroads
Daniel Silke has extensive experience in the rough and tumble of practical politics, having held key positions in both the Western Cape Provincial Parliament and the Cape Town City Council. Today he is Director of Political Futures Consultancy and a sought-after advisor for global and local companies seeking strategic foresight.
Silke’s academic background includes a master’s degree in South African and International Politics from the University of Cape Town. He is the author of an influential business book, Tracking the Future, and he contributes prolifically to South African and international media.
Mr. Silke will be in conversation with UCT’s Professor Anthony Butler about the perils and opportunities that confront South Africa in today’s fast-changing and uncertain international environment.
