
Vice-Chancellor Prof Moshabela on Institutional Sustainability at The University of Cape Town
Professor Mosa Moshabela has been the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Town since 1 August 2024. He will address the Cape Town Press Club on: “Institutional sustainability at the University of Cape Town”.
Prof Moshabela leads the Quality Health Systems and Transformation (QuEST) Centre, a collaboration with the TH Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University. He is a faculty member in HIV, Infectious Disease and Global Health Research Institute (HIGH IRI) at the University of Washington.
His contributions have primarily been in the improvement of access and quality healthcare to combat infectious diseases, in relation to HIV and TB, and in the areas of health systems, services and policy research.
Prof Moshabela holds a MBChB (UKZN Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine), a MMed in Family Medicine (Medical University of South Africa / Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University); MSc in Demography and Health (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine); PhD in Public Health (Wits).
He will take questions.
