Songezo Zibi on solutions to the challenges facing the country

Former editor of Business Day, Songezo Zibi, was ABSA Head of Communications. He is the co-founder of the Rivonia Circle, a political think tank.

He has written extensively about South Africa’s political system, economy, and social dynamics.

Since 2007 he has been a voice for accountability, good governance, nation-building, and the creation of a dynamic economy.

In January 2022, he announced the launching of Rivonia Circle, a think tank to drive innovative political participation.

His latest book, Manifesto: A New Vision for South Africa, calls on the country’s citizens to unite behind common values and national priorities and find solutions to the challenges facing the country. To do that he says South Africa needs a new kind of leadership, new institutions, and a new political culture.

Zibi will address the Cape Town Press Club.
He will take questions.
