Paul Holden on “Why Zondo Matters”

Paul Holden is Director of Investigations at Shadow World Investigations, an international organisation dedicated to exposing fraud, corporate malfeasance, and corruption in the global arms trade. A South African by birth and education, Paul has also written best-selling books on SA’s own arms deal, together with a trenchant analysis of our political predicament, Who Rules SA?

Holden has now trained his sights on the Zondo Commission of Inquiry, where he himself gave detailed evidence. The Inquiry, costing R1bn, lasting for more than four years, and generating thousands of pages of findings, birthed a dozen thick volumes of conclusions. These seemed destined to gather dust.
In his new book, Zondo at Your Fingertips, Holden insists such pessimism is misplaced. He unpacks the Commission’s findings, condenses its narratives, demystifies its legal language, and explains the report’s immediate importance.

Holden will address the Cape Town Press Club on ‘Why Zondo Matters’. He will take questions.
