Julia Albu Addresses The Cape Town Press Club
Julia Albu made world news when at the age of 80 she fulfilled her life-long dream, by driving mostly solo, from Cape Town to Cairo in a 20-year-old Toyota Conquest.
She travelled through deserts, over mountains and across the Savannah plains, crossing borders, telling people she was on her way to meet the Queen of England for tea.
As we see the old year out, Mrs Albu will address the Cape Town Press Club and share her epic journey.
Her book, My African Conquest: Cape to Cairo at 80, will be available.
