
Dr Vuyo Mahlati on an overview of the land reform scenario
Dr Vuyo Mahlati was appointed in September 2018 by the President to Chair the Advisory Panel on Land Reform and Agriculture. Dr Mahlati is serving her second term as member of South Africa’s National Planning Commission (2010-2020) that released the National Development Plan. She is the President of African Farmers Association of South Africa (AFASA). Dr Vuyo Mahlati is a public policy and development planning specialist and entrepreneur with a wool processing plant in rural Butterworth Eastern Cape. Her factory is Africas first Indigenous goats Cashmere processing plant. Dr Mahlati holds a PhD from the University of Stellenbosch.
Dr Mahlati will address the Cape Town Press Club on what we can expect in the land reform sector in the coming months or in the forthcoming year and a general overview of the land reform scenario and what she has experienced as chair of the land panel.
She will take questions.
