Dr Imtiaz Sooliman – An Insight into Gift of the Givers @ The Grill Room, Kelvin Grove

Gift of the Givers has become renowned for its humanitarian efforts and disaster relief interventions around the world. The South African non-governmental organisation is the largest disaster response NGO of African origin on the continent. It has delivered life saving aid in the form of search and rescue teams, medical assistance, food, water and aid to millions of people in 43 countries. Recently it was drilling boreholes in Makhanda (Grahamstown) as that city approached its day zero for water.

It has branches in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Somalia, Syria, Yemen and Gaza.  Imtiaz Sooliman, its founder, qualified as a medical doctor at the University of Natal Medical School in 1984. He has developed Gift of the Givers into one of the world’s most respectable humanitarian organisations.

Sooliman will address the Cape Town Press Club on ‘An Insight into Gift of the Givers’. He will take questions .
