Pieter-Louis Myburgh on state capture and Ace Magashule @ The Grill Room, Kelvin Grove

Journalist Pieter-Louis Myburgh has published an explosive book on ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule.

Piecing together leaked emails and documents, heaps of records, and exclusive source interviews, Myburgh probes deep into murky dealings when Magashule was Premier of the Free State (for nearly a decade), uncovers government contracts amounting to billions of rands, and Magashule’s relationship with tender moguls, the notorious Gupta family, and his dealings with a businessman who was gunned down in Sandton in 2017.

Myburgh is a member of Scorpio, the Daily Maverick’s celebrated investigation team.

He will take questions. His book – Gangster State: Unravelling Ace Magashule’s Web of Capture – will be available.
