Magda Wierzycka will address the Cape Town Press Club on "Plunder of the Assets of The PIC. How and by Whom". Magda Wierzycka is the CEO of the Sygnia group. She had been outspoken alleging rampant corruption in the Public Investment Corporation, which has R2 trillion in assets and is responsible for investing the pensions of South African government employees.

 

Wierzycka will name names and speak about how the PIC has been looted in recent years.

 

Wierzycka qualified as a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries (Edinburgh) and has over 20 years’ experience in the South African asset management industry. She was also the youngest board member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa. In the past 12 years the Sygnia group, under Wierzycka’s stewardship has grown assets under its management and administration from R2 billion to R222 billion, becoming the second largest multi-management company and the largest passive asset manager in South Africa.

 

She will take questions.
