Former Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool @ Cattle Baron Pinelands

Former Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool will address the Cape Town Press Club on the upcoming Western Cape provincial elections.

With a new president behind it and emboldened by severe ructions and a split in the Democratic Alliance, the ANC believes it has a plausible chance of taking back the province and it is no longer a foregone conclusion that the DA can keep the Western Cape.

Winning the election for the ANC is the principle task of its provincial election head, Ebrahim Rasool, who was Western Cape Premier from 2004 to 2008. He will address the Cape Town Press Club on why the ANC will deliver a better provincial government than the incumbent party.

After returning as South Africa’s Ambassador to the United States of America, Rasool founded the World for All Foundation. He also contributed to the establishment of the International Peace College of South Africa in Cape Town. He has served government in numerous capacities, as a member of the legislature during the Mandela years and as special advisor to the President Thabo Mbeki.

He will take questions.
