Auditor General @ Dakar at 6 Spin Street [ RESCHEDULED TO Tuesday 13 June - LATE LUNCH ]

The Auditor General Kimi Makwetu is the man who keeps a close look on government accounts. He can point out when things are going well from a fiscal management perspective – or, indeed, when they are not.

There has been quite a lot of political controversy over fiscal management by the state of late – and this, no doubt, has consequences for the Auditor General’s office. The AG can’t enter the political terrain but he can be asked questions about the state of government, at least from an auditing perspective.

He will take questions. The AG will also be available for post-briefing interviews.

The function is jointly hosted by the CT Press Club and the Press Gallery Association.
