Anthony Butler - Professor of Political Studies at UCT @ Kelvin Grove

Anthony Butler, Professor of Political Studies at UCT, wrote the authoritative biography of Cyril Ramaphosa, first published in 2007. He has now revised and updated that work for a new edition. It explores exactly how Ramaphosa managed to return to the centre of national politics and become President.

Butler, who writes a regular column for Business Day, will also reflect on what Ramaphosa is likely to do as president of the country after the upcoming national and provincial elections.

Prof Butler will take questions.
