Alan Winde is the Democratic Alliance’s Western Cape Premier Candidate. He will lead the DA's campaign in the Western Cape. Winde will address the Cape Town Press Club on the DA's vision for the province and the party’s prospects in the upcoming 2019 national general election. He will focus on his government's performance over the past ten years. Winde is currently Community Safety MEC. Previously, he held the finance and economic opportunities portfolios. He served in the provincial cabinet led by Premier Helen Zille since the party came to power in 2009.
